Modloader

Modloader v1.51 for Ace of Spades 0.75 fixed
by learn_more

This is mainly a bugfix release.


Features
* Switch between mods while ingame.
* Automatically load last mod when starting the game.
* Call airstrikes by clicking on the map.
* Call for medkit (key configurable).
* Chat and kill feed history.
* Ingame UI to configure Modloader (press insert to open).
* Fix for disconnect messages not being visible when fullscreen.
* Send (player related) commands by clicking on players names.
* Background on the chat messages.
* Current location (for example B3) below the minimap.
* Bounds of the map are shaded on the minimap (red).
* Replace news link.
* Installer.

Included files

* \modloader.bin - The main file, rename it to disable modloader
* \modloader.txt - This file.
* \Modloader\ - Place mods in this directory, each mod in it's own dir.
* \logs\ - Log files are created in this directory (when enabled)
* \Modloader\skin.png - The skin for the UI.


Installation

* Run modloader-install.exe

Uninstallation

* Run modloader-install.exe
* Optionally you can manually delete all files, but client.exe will remain patched.

* The game should no longer lag when opening modloader after a while.

Thanks to Chase_UC and v^3 for testing :)

For the next version i want to completely drop the current UI system. (It's been the source of some bugs, and is too much work to maintain).
Also look into 'guard' features, like the current admin menu,
and a configurable menu system (custom commands when clicking on users)

Thanks to `10se1ucgo` for the bugreport on mumble, and confirming the fix.

I'm trying to use this, but i can't figure out where I place the mods to use them. I've tried putting them in the modloader folder, in the kv6 folder, aos folder, but nothing is working. when I look at the mod section after pressing insert in aos, I only see "kv6", but clicking it doesn't do anything

make a folder called whatever you want (let's assume you're making a WWII pack). place this folder called WWII in the Modloader folder.
inside this folder make the corresponding folders you need (eg. kv6, png, wav). now you have these folders inside the WWII folder.
next place your mods into the child folders of your WWII (eg. semi.kv6 inside WWII > kv6). do not change them from their default names or they will not work.
now when you're in game, hit insert and switch between mods on the tablist.

thanks a lot, I appreciate it. I got it to work, it is a bit confusing ,but I see the idea of it now

Argh this 1.50 version is stupid, I upgraded it today, and went on AoS to play, then AoS crashed and it said "AoS Crashed, Send for analyzes", why? Blue_Normal

because i can't smell what is wrong from here,
thats why you need to send me the file.

and if you think modloader is stupid, dont use it, i won't lose any sleep over it.

ps: disable mumble if you use that for now,
or download 1.51 with the mumble fix

I know learn_more has already replied, but I just had to point out how stupid it was to say that it crashes and tells you to send the dump file for analysis, then ask what's wrong without sending the file. The whole point of the analysis is to find out why it happened.

there are 2 versions of 0.75, someone decided it was a good idea to do a fix without bumping the version number,
currently modloader only works on the fixed version.

Okay, I use the Build and Shoot launcher, so I can play 0.76 Green_normal

but because I'm using the launcher, the game files are in the AppData folder, which is only accessible by searching %appdata% in the start menu. so I cant find the files via the installer.
help me. Green_Crying

%appdata% isnt a magical spell from the start menu, that path always exists and can be opened from everywhere.
