I can totally see it being a machine gun. If you downloaded it and used it as your smg, I wouldn't hold it against you.
For reference, here's a picture of a Striker.

If you have a suggestion on how to make the barrel thinner while not being only one pixel wide that would be awesome. I can't figure out a nice way of doing the barrel outside of a + shape.
